Thorntree River Lodge

The safari company African Bush Camps worked closely with the South Africa–based design firm Fox Browne Creative to design Zambia’s exceptional Thorntree River Lodge. Located upstream from Victoria Falls in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, the elegant retreat is more private home than safari lodge, with 12 nautically-inspired suites in cool blue hues enriched with gleaming copper, wood, and river-reed details. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors blur the boundaries between the ship-shape interiors, a rim-flow pool, and the river.
