While many parts of Puerto Rico are still rebuilding after Hurricane Maria blew through last fall, the island has declared itself officially open for tourism. The best way to help? Go. Classic hotels are slowly coming back online, and as of March, there will be a new game in town with the opening of the Serafina Beach Hotel, from the Serafina Restaurant Group. The Condado District property has airy, whitewashed rooms with breezy blue accents, not to mention views of either the lagoon or the ocean. There are three on-site restaurants, including seafood spot aMare’ and the espresso-bar-slash-cocktail-lounge PiñaCo in the lobby. If you can tear yourself away from the infinity pool, the staff is happy to arrange adventures around the island, including zip lining and kayaking.
