Aman Suite at Aman Tokyo
The futuristic city of Tokyo may be more business than pleasure, but the Aman Tokyo is a romantic respite unlike any other in the Japanese capital. The property, which opened in 2014 within the top six floors of Nihonbashi’s glass-walled Otemachi Tower, is more ryokan than hotel with its kimono-clad attendants and sanctuary-like accommodations. In the four 1,689-square-foot Aman Suites (priced from $1,700 per night), couples can don traditional yukata robes and woven black slippers while feasting on kaiseki cuisine in their private dining room. Throughout the suite, floor-to-ceiling windows provide unrivaled vistas of the Imperial Palace Gardens, the magnificent Tokyo Skyline, and, on a clear day, Mount Fuji.
Romance Factor: The traditional furo soaking tub is large enough for two and framed by the larger-than-life views of Tokyo outside. (aman.com)
