New York’s Eleven Madison Park (which topped the World’s 50 Best list last April) may be closed for renovations, but Daniel Humm and Will Guidara—the masterminds behind its success—are summering in the Hamptons. EMP Summerhouse, the restaurant’s first pop-up is currently open through Labor Day. Opened in partnership with American Express, reservations at the exclusive eatery are available only to American Express card members.
Much like the main outpost, the temporary spot is offering unique flavor combinations, beautiful plating, and locally-sourced ingredients—but in a more casual setting that is ideal for a post-beach meal. A nearly 30,000-square-foot backyard with patio tables and a lush yard encourages the fun, summery vibe with table tennis and other classic summer diversions. Inside, the dining room is more formal with white linen tablecloths, art by local artists, and an a la carte menu that includes poached lobster, clam flatbread with bacon and red onion, and a wood-fired 100-day dry-aged ribeye. Also expect a great wine list with a focus on rosé from local vineyards like Channing Daughters Winery.
