What to Expect: Opened in the 1990s as La Bastide, the hotel was built to look like a Provençal villa. New ownership and 2 years of restoration work have enhanced the original aesthetic with timber beams, stonework, French doors, and distressed hardwood floors. Wrought-iron bed frames, cowhide-covered barstools, and distinctive orange high-back chairs contemporize the cozy spaces. Fireplaces remain in the library and several accommodations.
