The Little Nell, the only ski-in/ski-out property on Aspen Mountain, is getting a makeover. When the hotel reopens in December, it will do so with freshly appointed rooms designed by Holly Hunt. Along with such expected amenities as down comforters and fireplaces, all 92 rooms will be outfitted with a system that enables you to control the lights, temperature, fireplace, music, and television with one remote. The hotel’s concierge services will continue to cater to guests whose requests can range from first tracks on powder days to jet-lag remedies for pets. Ryan Hardy’s farm-to-table dining menu remains in place; the chef uses ingredients produced on his 15-acre farm and cheeses made in the hotel’s cheese cave. In season, Hardy and newly crowned Master Sommelier Jonathan Pullis will lead willing guests up Aspen Mountain to forage for wild mushrooms and then recommend wines to pair with their finds.
