The Tiger Tour is the personal vision of Julian H. Robertson, the creator of three of New Zealand’s most acclaimed lodges: The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs, The Farm at Cape Kidnappers, and Matakauri Lodge. A lucky few will have he unique opportunity to experience Julian’s favorite destinations, taste the best wine and fine dining New Zealand has to offer, stay in luxury lodges and enjoy the stunning vistas and challenging terrain of award-winning golf courses, all in one remarkable and fun package.
The inaugural Tiger Tour took place in March 2012 and the tailored journeys have continued in popularity since, with an international contingent of travel enthusiasts taking part. As such, Julian is excited to continue this tradition with a customized tour for 2015.
The 2015 Tiger Tour will commence on March 13 in the alpine lake village of Queenstown at Matakauri Lodge and concluding in the sub-tropical far north. The tour offers a combined nine nights across the three lodges in Queenstown, Hawke’s Bay and the Bay of Islands.
Incorporating the most unique experiences in New Zealand’s North and South Island, the tour is inclusive of green fees at stunning golf courses, quintessential Kiwi experiences such as quad biking, horse riding, jet boating, sailing and a behind the scenes winery tour, along with the opportunity to mingle with distinctive New Zealanders, human and otherwise. Tour participants will see and experience it all first hand on this tour – dramatic coastlines and rugged rural settings, mountains, lakes, beaches, rivers, forests, fiords, quaint and historic villages and vibrant towns. With each passing day this tour sets the extraordinary side-by-side with the intimate, and bathes it all in world-class luxury.
The tour will be limited to five couples and all guests will be transported between the properties using our commercial domestic air carrier Air New Zealand.
