In addition to enjoying exceptional holiday shopping, The St. Regis Atlanta guests will encounter magical moments with family and friends at Astor Holiday Ice Rink, now in its seventh season. The outdoor rink has become a cherished holiday destination for community members and seasonal visitors with ice skating set within the hotel’s 40,000-square-foot Pool Piazza. Protected from the elements by a billowing sheer tent, elegant white lights adorn the rink and illuminate skaters as they glide to the soft sounds of festive holiday tunes. Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, The St. Regis Atlanta offers seasonal favorites like hot cocoa, s’mores and Coca-Cola in holiday-themed bottles, which guests can enjoy while sitting next to the Piazza’s cozy outdoor fireplace. The Astor Holiday Ice Rink is open from November 21, 2015 through January 3, 2016, during the hours of noon to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends. December 19 through 24, ice rink hours are extended for skating 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day, and Christmas Day skating is available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Skating sessions will start every hour and be priced at $30 per hour for adults, $18 per hour for children 4-12 and Free 3 and under (exclusive of tax & service charge). Reservations are highly encouraged. The Astor Holiday Ice Rink also provides a perfect venue for private ice skating parties or group gatherings. Children’s Skating Parties include one-hour rink admission and skate rentals. Exclusive use of the rink is available for parties of 20 or more, and can be booked on weekdays from noon to 6 p.m. for $40 per child. Bespoke birthday cakes and/or Santa Claus appearances are also available upon request. Group Outings for 20 or more are available for those who want exclusive use of the Astor Holiday Rink to enjoy with friends or to host a spirited office party. Private group experiences are available on weekdays from noon to 9 p.m. for $60 per adult, which includes admission for one hour and complimentary skate rental. There is a food and beverage minimum charge for all ice skating group events.
To celebrate the season’s sweet delights, The St. Regis Atlanta’s acclaimed pastry chef, Michael Craig, will construct Atlanta’s largest gingerbread house to grace the hotel’s grand lobby entrance. The Holiday Tea is $65 per person or $75 for Celebration Tea at which adults can enjoy a glass of champagne. The beloved Tea with Santa gives little ones the opportunity to enjoy a magical tea ritual complete with a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, and is $52 per child 4 to 12 years; $10 per child 3 and under.
Gastronomic delights will add to the holiday spirit as Executive Chef Joseph Trevino and his team offer spectacular seasonal dining for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. The bountiful Thanksgiving Buffet in Astor Court is offered on November 26 with dishes such as Carved organic turkey, giblet gravy and orange cranberry sauce; imported and domestic caviar with traditional accompaniments; and Belgian waffles with chocolate sauce, bery compote, strawberries, banana bourbon caramel, vanilla whipped cream and Vermont maple syrup. Theh festive Christmas Day Buffet highlights include Carved Nueski spiral ham with bourbon molasses glaze; Peppercorn crusted prime ribeye, garlic-infused demi-glace, horseradish and freshly baked rolls; imported and domestic caviar with traditional accompaniments; and S’mores. The Thanksgiving and Christmas Day Buffets will be served from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m with two seating’s on each holiday. The pricing for both events is $125 per person, $75 per child 8 to 12 years, and $59 per child 4 to 7 years. Children three and under dine at no charge.
