Wrangle Your Cowboy Skills With a Horsemanship Clinic at The Ranch at Rock Creek

The Ranch at Rock Creek invites equestrians of all disciplines to gain introduction to Western horsemanship and cowboy culture with a four-night clinic led by National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) competitors and trainers Scott Whinfrey and Lisa Kittel. Guests will develop Ranch skills including roping and working cattle during this all-inclusive retreat, May 13 to 17, 2015.

On the day of arrival, guests will meet their equine partner, and will be paired with a horse based on skill level and personality. Over the next three days guests will learn groundwork basics, selecting the right equipment, developing feel and timing, cutting, sorting, penning, reading body language, roping exercises and tackling trail obstacles, all with plenty of time to ride and practice newly developed skills while enjoying the picturesque sagebrush hillsides and alpine peaks.

All-inclusive rates for the Ranch Horsemanship Clinic begin at $1,100 per person, per night. Rates are inclusive of the four-night clinic, accommodations in the Granite Lodge or Canvas Cabin, all meals and additional on-site activities including fishing, shooting, biking, hiking, paintball, billiards, bowling and much more.
