For the past four decades, Macy’s has put on what is believed to be America’s most attended fireworks show, attracting roughly 3 million in-person spectators. This year, the department store will move its annual spectacle from the Brooklyn Bridge to Midtown East, giving Williamsburg unparalleled views of the show, with vistas of Manhattan’s skyline serving as a spectacular background for the star-spangled event. The William Vale hotel will be the best place to see it all, offering two venues for the occasion. Guests can gather at the 22nd- and 23rd-floor Westlight for sky-high views, along with dinner and dancing. The hotel’s river-facing greenspace will also host a viewing party with cocktails and more casual fare.
