Palazzo Venart: Exterior, Before
Arrive at Palazzo Venart’s private pier along the Grand Canal by water taxi or gondola, and step into a world of historic splendor. Located in Santa Croce near the 17th-century church of San Stae, the estate has been carefully preserved under the supervision of a team of Venetian art historians who maintained original decorative details, as well as those that have been added in the centuries since its erection. During the 19th century, a fire destroyed a portion of the façade; today, the entrance glows an elegant pale pink and features arched windows enriched by balustrades of Istria stone. A serene garden has also been added.
