In today’s hotel landscape, it’s all about going private. Whether that means heading to a private island resort, looking for hotels at which it’s easy to keep your distance, or just buying out the whole place, guests are prioritizing privacy to help them feel safe. Seeing an increase both in these types of requests and in the number of guests enquiring about private air travel, several hotels have joined forces with private aviation companies to offer special room-and-flight packages or preferred rates for charter flights. From the sandy shores of Virgin Gorda to the rugged Central California coast, here are five hotels that are making getting from home to hotel easy, safe and hassle-free.
Round Hill Hotel and Villas
Re-opened to guests this month, Jamaica’s beachfront Round Hill Hotel and Villas has introduced a partnership with evoJets that helps guests travel in comfort and safety to the resort and back. Starting at $37,000 for three-nights in an oceanfront room (designed by Ralph Lauren) or $40,000 for three-nights in a two-bedroom villa, the “Ultimate Private Luxury in Jamaica” package includes roundtrip flights on an evoJets aircraft for up to six passengers, plus roundtrip airport transfers (in a private sanitized vehicle), VIP amenities, two spa treatments and experiences like a chef-led tour of the vegetable gardens and a catered lunch. Other packages—such as the Villa Retreat option, in which all meals are served in-villa—further encourage staying in a bubble with your crew. Package rates reflect aircraft pricing and availability from New York City, and are subject to change from other departure cities; blackout dates apply. Book with evoJets here or contact email@example.com.
Dunton Hot Springs / Dunton River Camp
Escape to the Colorado Rockies with ease thanks to a new partnership between private aviation company XO and both Dunton Hot Springs—which features one- to five-bedroom cabins and a famous hot springs-fed bathhouse—and Dunton River Camp, a luxury tented camp that can be rented exclusively for up to 16 guests. Packages with both properties include preferred rates on private charters with XO from select US airports, roundtrip airport transportation, and early check-in and late check-out (based on availability.) Guests of Dunton Hot Springs will also receive a $1,000 resort credit per arriving flight, and glampers $2,000 credit per flight, to spend on activities such as horseback riding, hiking in the high San Juans, fly fishing and photography classes. Las Ventanas al Paraiso
In response to increased demand for private air travel from its guests, Los Cabos’ beloved Las Ventanas al Paraiso joined forces with Jet & More to launch LVP Wings, which allows travelers to easily access charter flights to the hotel from three US hubs—Dallas Love Field Airport, Van Nuys Airport and Teterboro Airport—as well as, on a more limited basis, from regional airports in Paris and London. Guests can log on to the dedicated LVP Wings site to see what flights have been scheduled (the first flights will start in November, and run through the 2020-2021 high-season), then book and pay per seat—no memberships or additional fees required. (While the LVP Wings program focuses on per-seat charter flight bookings, guests interested in booking an exclusive flight can contact Jet & More directly regarding their bespoke options.) Guests booking the charter flights will also receive preferred rates on accommodations, which should be reserved directly with the resort. Once you’ve touched down in Cabo, you’ll be met by Los Ventanas staff and enjoy expedited immigration services before being whisked to the resort. For more information and to book, contact firstname.lastname@example.org, or call (877) 497-2903.
Ventana Big Sur
With just 59 suites on a 160-acre property, Ventana Big Sur, an Alila Resort on California’s Central Coast, is made for guests who want to connect with the majesty of the setting—with its redwood forests and rugged Pacific Ocean shoreline—then retreat to intimate luxury. And a new offering makes it even easier to keep to yourselves. Guests who book a private charter flight to Monterey Regional Airport via the hotel’s new partnership with XO will enjoy extras like a complimentary fourth night for every three nights booked (at the all-inclusive rate); a dedicated Leisure Concierge to arrange your activities; all meals, including those served in-suite; welcome amenities and a specially-curated mini-bar; dinner for two at the Glass House restaurant (set 1,100 feet above the ocean); and the waiving of the standard pet fee, for those bringing a furry friend. The package is available to both XO members and non-members. For more information and to book, submit a request via this form or email email@example.com.
Rosewood Little Dix Bay
Though at the time of this writing, Rosewood Little Dix Bay has yet to confirm a re-opening date for the winter season, we do that know that when the Virgin Gorda resort does re-open, guests will have a new option to fly them directly to paradise. Via the resort’s new partnership with Tropic Ocean Airways and its air concierge service Volo Travel, travelers will be able to access both private and semi-private flights from an array of locations. (Tropic Ocean is working with Wheels Up to provide access to over 1,000 aircrafts.) As this is not a package, rooms and flights are booked separately, but the resort team can help coordinate both.
